The Lost Wallet was a crowd pleaser at both screenings and tied for second
prize in the Sponsor`s High School competition. This film begins as
a day on a jet ski but when Paul discovers he has lost his wallet he has to
retrace his steps; his journey takes him from Tropical Fruit World to
Cabarita Beach and beyond. He is unable to find his wallet but is
treated to some good old-fashioned hospitality by the benevolent business
people in the region. A must see for potential travellers.
Poppi is eleven years old and attends Terranora Primary School. She
took on the monumental task of interviewing two local artists who run the
Science Art Research Centre at Uki, monumental because their life`s work
is such a big story to tell and, as is with all things scientific, also
quite complicated. Poppi responded to the challenge with aplomb -
her interview and film is of a superior standard - informative and
picturesque. The artwork and views will have you wishing you had
seen the film on the big screen. Poppi was Sponsor`s Choice for
Best Primary School short film and was also awarded a Bam.
15 year-old Jayde Simpson features her award winning dance group from
Banora Point High School in a story that takes us from the Tweed River to
the New Tweed Coast and back to the school where the dance team shows off
their stuff. The film has touches of humour, features local DJ
Barry Coleman and gives the viewer a sense of the wonderful coastal
ammenity we enjoy in the Tweed. Her dance sequences are an
accomplishment in cinematography. Jayde won equal second place in
the Sponsor’s Choice High School competition.

Hannah is 13 years old and attends St Joseph`s College Banora Point.
She has dabbled in filmmaking only once and already she is being acclaimed
for her efforts having won second prize in this competition.
Hannah`s film begins with a very original history lesson leading to the
present day story of a Bali bombing victim who is making a new life on the
Tweed. Hannah`s film demonstrates some great camera work taking in
the vistas and highlights of the Tweed.

This film won first place in the High School category of the Sponsor's
Choice awards. It was chosen for it's humour and unique approach to
the task. Watch out for special guest appearances by well known
celebrities. Beautiful scenery and locations are a backdrop for the
enthusiasm of this team for their environment.
